It is known that structural linguistics in Azerbaijan is not developed, but it has recently seen a revival in this area. The article is devoted to the structural syntax. The idea of communicational junctions is developed in the structural syntax. In the hierarchy verb junctions are on the top of the tree. Studies in this area are mainly introduced by the verb. In the comparison with verbal units, adjectival and adverbial junctions are less investigated. For this reason, the article explores the issues, associated with the adjectival and adverbial junctions. Different models of adjectival and adverbial junctions are analyzed, schemes are given. In the Azerbaijan linguistics special works, devoted to the adverb investigation, including adverbial junctions, are absent. Only one study in the monograph by Yu. Seyidov " Phrases in the Azerbaijani Language" (the book is prepared on the basis of his own doctoral dissertation) investigates adverbial phrases. In adverbial phrases in Azerbaij

The levels of lexical-semantic structures of religious lexemes which are recorded by the modern lexicographers are the subject of this article. With dictionary cataloguing of Church Slavonic as an example, the recommendations on the modern lexicographic presentation improvement of synonymic borrowings are made, motivations of biblical meanings are studied and researches of Proto-Slavic families of words are carried out. In the authors opinion, the religious part of the semantic structure of lexeme is different in the Bible translations by Metropolitan Illarion and Patriarch Filaret. Trying to present Gods Word plain, Metropolitan Illarion substitutes Church Slavonic for lexeme ; such synonymization of lexeme resulted in the simplified presentation of biblical values: the translator systematically actualizes only the deeply metaphorical biblical meaning 'Jesus Christ', despite the fact that lexeme more precisely than lexeme corresponds,

The elucidation of the motivational stem role in the derivational processes has acquired the big popularity in the Ukrainian linguistics. The solution of these tasks has become possible within the frameworks of the recently emerged approach, which places the stem formation in the centre of its study, the so-called stem-centered approach, which aims to identify and describe the word-building capability of formative words of different lexico-grammatical categories. The indicator of the derivational potential of the analyzed initial word is its word-building paradigm a complex system-forming unit, which comprises a set of derivatives of the same degree of formation, united with the sameness of the formative stem and contrary by word-building formants. In the Ukrainian Studies, the word-building capability of adjectives and nouns has been researched already on the basis of the word-building paradigm structure and semantics analysis. The adherents of the stem-centered approach cannot di

The article deals with the question of the students phonetic mastering of foreign words in the Ukrainian terminology. The author considers borrowings as a factor of the lexical interference that results from the interaction of Ukrainian and German languages. The basic processes of the phonetic development of German borrowing terms are investigated. We found that most of them are partially assimilated and do not contain a significant amount of sound combinations inherent to our language. It is noted that the reproduction of sounds is influenced by many factors: the role of an intermediary language, traditions of the pronunciation and spelling are varied at different times. Very important roles in terms of borrowing play the professional and bilingual language level, the person who firstly introduces the corresponding term in the Ukrainian language. It is concluded that in the study of the German borrowings development in the Ukrainian terminological system is especially important to

There are various interpretations concerning the folk songs role in the T. Shevchenkos formation as a poet. T. Shevchenko absorbed in his poems not only the content, but all elements of the Ukrainian folk poetry. Many verses by T. G. Shevchenko have the same rhythmic foundation as in the Ukrainian folk songs. Most authors acknowledge the organic link between his verses and folk art. There is another point of view that T. G. Shevchenko in the works used only folk rhythms. Popular metres flowed into the poetry by T. Shevchenko together with his thoughts, emotions, feelings, moods, which were the part of the poets inner world. T. G. Shevchenko didnt just stylize folk rhythms, like his predecessors, he formed new rhythms based on folk ones.

The research is focused on the main characteristics of the linguistic symbols. It is important to mention that phraseological units are an integral part of the national cultural heritage and at the same time represent the nation's mentality. The peculiarity of the existence of non-verbal symbolic forms is their static character. But in contrast to the non-verbal symbols a language symbol, as a means of characterization, has the ability to create new shades of meanings. The results underline that the emotional coloring of the quasi-etalons (in the structure of the phraseological units) in its content together with the denotative value represent shades of feelings, moods, the speaker's attitude to the subject. It is concluded that the linguistic symbol is a complex system, which can not be explained at once and it requires some interpretation.
