The article examines the parable as an object of the discourse analysis in the context of the linguistic religious studies in comparison with the narratological research methods of the parable as a literary genre. The author states that the parable has recently become the object of philosophical and cultural studies and is regarded not as a literary category but as a phenomenon of semiotics and culture.

The article considers the transformational processes of the values in the postindustrial society. The influence of the economical, political, general cultural strategies of the postindustrial society development on the spirituality and morality is studied. The consequences of the spiritual values reduction for a human and the society are analyzed. It was discovered that if a man studies the development of the scientific, technic, technologic parameters of the modern society without recourse to the notional and axiological criteria of their analysis, we can use the notion "progress" referring to it, but if we analyze this development from the axiological view, we can assume that we live in the epoch of the "vertical barbarism invasion".

The article analyzes the genesis and the confessional foundations of the True Orthodox Church and Orthodox Christians. The attention is drawn to the anti-totalitarian manifestations, the development prospects of the True Orthodox churches in the context of the social transformations. The author stresses that there is no unity in the environment of the True Orthodox Church and attempts to find out the reasons why the communities are unable or unwilling to operate as a single entity.

The article analyzes the essence and the functional distinctions of intelligentzia and the intellectuals. The value of intelligenzia's axiological priorities is examined for electing the directions of civil society development. The value of intelligentzia's consolidating role is studied in the civil society. It was discovered that the direction of the civil society development in Ukraine depends upon the intelligentzia's efforts and the value system that is trying to reflex axiologically the processes, taking place in the country.

The study concerning loans is one of the major challenges in terms of identifying the patterns of languages. It was determined that as the result of various connections between the speakers of the German and French languages, the linguistic affinities took place and consequently words of the one language enlarged the vocabulary of the other. The article considers the causes and periods of the French words occurrence that entered the German language, enriched it and are used in the speech of the Germans.

The remaking of the one act Mahagonny-Songspiel, also known as "The Little Mahagonny", into the three-act opera at the request of the stage director of the Berlin Kroll Opera House Hans Curjel is the good example for such a well-spread variant of interrelation of short and large dramatic forms as a transformation from the short dramatic forms into large, according to the theatrical demands.

Within the opposition context between "the epic theatre" and "the theatre of absurd", the article highlights the artistic peculiarities of the Brechtoll's ironically depicted image, a jester from Eugene Ionesco’s play "Thirst and Hunger", who was modeled according to the image of the outstanding German playwright Bertolt Brecht. Analyzing the artistic works and theoretical papers of the above mentioned authors, an attempt is made to trace back the continuity of their theatrical conventions, despite their commonly stated polarity.

The article discovers the artistic peculiarities of the dream visions in this drama and the role of the visionary strategies in the realization of the author's artistic concept. Using the elements and some stylistic peculiarities of the dream vision genre in the play "The Visions of Simone Machard", B. Brecht turns the dream visions into the separate chronotope, where the noble beliefs, natural to the child's pure soul, and officials' greed cut across with the principles of the humanity.

It has been found that these composites are not only a nominative-informative way, but also stylistical. They are referring to actions, processes, phenomena, behaviour, estimating the person's characteristics and providing the newspaper speech with the expressiveness, emotionality, occasionally imagery and "freshness".

The article is devoted to the problem of the Bertold Brecht's creative interpretation of the Sophocle's drama "Antigona". Through the prism of the classic plot, the author shows the Germany’s politic life in 1945. The main accent is drawn on the comparative analysis of the Sophocle's "Antigona" and its processing by Bertold Brecht. It has been discovered that in the Brecht's interpretation of the ancient "Antigona" the cause of the main heroine's law violation are not only the affined feelings (as we observe in Sophocles' drama) but the political convictions: this war is not for the country but for the satisfaction of the person's own convictions.
