Nagorna S. S. Interdependence Between Collocability Patterns and Conjugated Forms of the English Verb

The paper discusses the functioning of English polysemantic verbs, aimed at founding out some of its regularities in science journal articles. The general regularities are identified through the analysis of sublanguage verb vocabulary data. It has been observed that the more conjugation forms the verb realizes, the bigger number of its meanings and collocability patterns is. The study proves the bigger quantity of absolute verb frequency, so the higher percentage of their realized conjugation forms, and the higher is number of collocability patterns.
