/ S. M. Gumenyuk // VISNYK Zhytomyrskogo Derzhavnogo Universytetu Imeni Ivana Franka. — 2014. — ¹ 75. — P. 17. — ISSN 2076-6173. The analysis of the spiritual inheritance of Old Rus is carried out. Moral and religious grounds of philosophizing of Old Russ writers, which intentionally have had the idea of the obedience in the wisdom, are researched. It is proved that Klyment Smolyatych, Kyrylo Turovskyy, Danylo Zatochenyk bring the obedience in the wisdom to the role of the moral maximum. The thought is confirmed that the culture creating potential of the obedience in the wisdom allows perceiving the Christian tradition as a whole adequately. This idea is based on the spiritual revelation and is deeply rooted in the patristic tradition. The obedience in the wisdom that ignores the madding crowd recognizes its own sinfulness and reveres God and his saints, is blessed by Old Rus writers as quality, without which it is impossible to lay the foundation to build salvation. The article substantiates the impossibility of civic competence without the human being formation as an entity that combines organically individuality and personality, unique civil qualities and the personal level such as creativity and responsibility. They together create the human nature as a citizen and the core of citizenship. They also compose such a core without which human qualities are impossible. However, the unity of the individuality and personality doesn’t draw out its principal structural elements, though it is considered to be the core. Main elements of the structure: cognitive, procedural and moral are singled out. The cognitive level is the basic level among the main structural elements of the personal civic competence. Here belong such human qualities as imagery, imagination, knowledge, believes etc. The civil knowledge is formed in the process of functioning all social life spheres and a personality role in it. The evolution of the notion of ontology in the XX century is studied in the article. The author casts the doubt that Heidegger realized the revival of the ontological perspective and argues that it began with the S. Frank’s work "Introduction to Philosophy". S. Frank’s sense of statements was the fact that the purpose of the ontology is to build a proper and adequate system of being as a unity between the material and spiritual sides. The modern understanding of the ontology must overcome extreme materialist and idealist approaches and become the unity of material and spiritual components of life. The meaning of the Heidegger's existential mediocrity and self is analyzed. Basing on the concept of four levels of the development of the man's essential powers, the correlation between these concepts and the concepts of "impersonal" and "personal" being is stated. N. Hartmann’s idea of the hierarchical nature of the existence is investigated: each level has its own laws, but the lower l

The category "world" defines the measuring of the perception, the horizon of thought and the reality itself. The empirical representation of the world or the universe corresponds to the sense of the scientific objectivity which does not depend on the metaphysical preconditions of the existence. The confluence point of something empirical and the imaginary one in the value measurement as a unity of the diversity reveals the phenomenon of the world. The world as an object of the phenomenological reduction means a distinction in the perception and the mentation of the subject forms as well as of the consequences the conceptualization has. The ontology of the worldmaking specifies the concept of the social and cultural world and unfolding a condition of possibilities so that the ontological pluralism can take place. With the reference to the nature and to the science the human beings are an ideal essence. However, the existence of the mankind is formed as a plurality of the natural facts

The development of science and technology in today's world is of paramount importance. It is generally assumed that the technological progress is the driving force behind the civilization development. Based on the development of science and technology, humanity to some extent destroys its spirituality, culture and everything human in man. A person does not often notice how science and technology change his / her inner world, his / her relationship to himself / herself, to others and to the world in general. New needs and new problems appear in person's life and he / she is facing with previously unknown challenges. In such a way a titanic struggle between a person and a technical nature appeared. The problem of the continuous human impact on the nature is in the circle of view of modern Ukrainian philosophers A. Gerasymchuka, M. Kozlovtsya, I. Nadolnogo, V. Tabachkovskogo, T. Borozyntsya, O. Yarosha and others. Deeply and thoroughly this question is examined in the encyclicals by t

Pavlyk V. I. Peculiarities of Translating Publicistic Texts Irony

The actuality of the topic chosen for the scientific article is explained by the fact that current scientific investigations in text linguistics focus on studying specific genres of certain functional styles due to the communicative and pragmatic reorientation of modern text linguistics. Peculiarities of translating publicistic texts are based on the identification and correct communication of the text tone which in this case is rather a stylistic than a phonetic category. Tone is a text category which expresses addressee’s intention depending on the qualities of the object of speech and his attitude to these qualities. Intertextual Irony arises when comparing two different in tone contexts, containing a common element – a phrase, a passage, storyline , etc. – which is an allusion of the target text to the original one. To reproduce intertexitual irony in translation, it is necessary to preserve as many contexts which are potentially felt in the original as possible and most importan

This article focuses on the specificity of the literary metonymy realization in the English modernist fiction. Metonymy as part of the literary discourse has been attracting attention of many foreign and native linguists for a long period. On the one hand metonymy is identified with an artistic detail and symbol; on the other hand it is opposed to these phenomena. However a number of problems concerning the metonymy’s status of an artistic detail and its symbolic potential haven't been solved yet. Such point of view to literary metonymy through the prism of modern lingvopoetic studies, which are dedicated to the verbal realization of tropes in the literary discourse, is very perspective. The article suggests an integral approach that combines contextual, stylistic, and quantitative approaches to determining the artistic detail and the metonymy symbolic potential in the English modernist prose. The material of the research contains works by V. Wool and D. H. Lawrence – the most famou

At the same time, the "alternative reality" of the myth provides a writer with the freedom for experiments and creative reflections. Quite a wide range of problems was studied from the point of view of myth critics in the national literary studies but there is no such an analysis in the context of the Ukrainian postmodern drama. The article attempts to describe the uniqueness of the traditional interpretation of the mythological plots in the modern Ukrainian drama.
